What to expect at
Auditions
We're so excited you're interested in joining The Gaston Choral Society!
You will find two pieces of music below that you can sing at your audition, or you can prepare one yourself that
shows off your vocal range.
We have also included YouTube videos for you to sing along with if you don't have access to a piano or the ability to read music. Reading music is not required to sing with us, but we do expect that most of the concert repertoire is memorized by the concert if you cannot read along. We are permitted to have our music for the concerts.

During your audition you will meet Dan Wynkoop (our Director) and Betsy Logeman (our Assistant Director and accompanist). This is a very relaxed audition process. We're a community choir after all. We sing for ourselves and the local community. We're here to make music and have fun. We're not super formal, but we do expect all members to attend rehearsals and practice the music at home with provided rehearsal tracks (if available).

If accepted, the dues to pay for your music that season are $50. We have scholarships available for anyone with a financial need. Please let someone on the board know at first rehearsal if you would like to explore that option.
Board members will have stars on their name tags.
